1. Creating the Bookmarks Database in Notion

First, let's create a new database in Notion called "Bookmarks" with the following columns: Name, Category, and URL. Here's how:

  1. Open Notion and create a new page or navigate to an existing page where you want to add your Bookmarks database.
  2. Click the "+" button or type "/table" to create a new table.
  3. Select "Table - Full Page" to create a full-page table, or "Table - Inline" to create an inline table.
  4. Give your new database a name by clicking on "Untitled" and typing "Bookmarks".
  5. Now, let's create the columns. By default, Notion creates a "Name" column with the "Title" property type, so we'll keep that as-is.
  6. Add a new column by clicking the "+" button to the right of the "Name" column. Name this column "Category" and set the property type to "Select".
  7. Add another new column by clicking the "+" button again. Name this column "URL" and set the property type to "URL".

Great! You now have a Bookmarks database with Name, Category, and URL columns.

2. Setting up the iOS Shortcut

Next, let's set up the iOS Shortcut that will allow you to quickly add bookmarks to your Notion database.

  1. On your iOS device, click this link to download the Bookmark Shortcut: **https://wilterrero.gumroad.com/l/ios-shortcut-notion-bookmark-manager (is FREE ✨)**
  2. The Shortcuts app will open, and you'll see a preview of the Bookmark Shortcut. Click "Add Shortcut" to add it to your library.
  3. Now, open the Bookmark Shortcut in your Shortcuts library by tapping on it. Tap the "..." button in the top-right corner to edit the shortcut.
  4. You'll need to replace <your_notion_api_key> and <your_database_id> placeholders with your actual Notion API key and Bookmarks database ID. To find your Notion API key and database ID, follow these steps:
